New patients

New patients are welcome at Homestead Medical Centre.

On making a first-time booking, you will be asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment time in order to complete a patient medical questionnaire. This allows the doctor to understand your overall health background to assist with your diagnosis.

You can save time by printing out the New Patient Forms (HMC) (avialable under Forms) and filling it out prior to arriving at the clinic. Or book an appointment via Hotdoc as a new patient.

If you choose to switch from another clinic, a proforma is available (under Forms) that can be signed and sent off to your previous doctor requesting transfer of your medical records.

Consultations are by appointment only; however, we will attempt to fit in patients who require urgent attention.

Our standard consultation time is 10 mins but if you like to discuss more than 2 problems we will highly recommend you to book a long consult for 20 mins. 

For mental health consultation, mental health care plan and chronic disease management plan appointment time should be at least 20 mins - it is Medicare requirement, sometimes doctor could ask you to make one appointment for assessment and one for plan - both should be 20 mins consultation. 

Not all our doctors are taking work over, TAC, Centrelink certificate patient. Please inform us when you are making an appointment to avoid any disappointment.

We don’t prescribe S8 drugs and restricted Narcotics until there is an appropriate indication.
