Dr. Sayema and Dr. Akhter are determined to bring high-quality community care to the Northern Suburb, and their logo reflected their vision. Unfortunately, most of the clinics in Australia were moving to Mixed billing, and one after another GP centre was shutting down. Homestead Medical Centre's founders wondered if it was worthwhile to open a clinic now when bulk billing couldn't sustain it.

Despite the challenging times for general practice, Dr. Sayema and Dr. Akhter believed that the community could come together to do something about it. They drew inspiration from their patients and the support they received from them.
